The Human Rights & Social Responsibility Committee of EAGT and General Board of the European Association of Gestalt Therapy, representing 26 European countries, meeting in Barcelona March 5th 2022, expresses their indignation at the war in Ukraine.
We call for an immediate end to all acts of war, from the deep conviction that war can never be an answer to conflicts. It only leads to destruction of infrastructure and unprecedented human suffering on a physical, mental and psychological level.
We strongly urge that governments and their leaders come together to end this conflict in a nonviolent way to prevent further human suffering.
We express our solidarity with the Ukrainian and all Russian people who are devastated and anguished by the actions of their government in this needless violence:
‘They are Us and We are Them. We are all One.’
