The video of Donna Orange’s memorial is now available.
What happened in the memorial seems to resonate with Donna’s life, and it’s amazing how even now, after her death, she continues to teach us about our fragility and fallibilism. A brilliant career, a solid coherence of the many aspects of her philosophical and clinical thought, the joy to discover “the face of the other” any time she met us, and a terrible, tragic end, difficult to take, impossible to understand, that confronts us with our fragility.
We are left with a great sense of injustice, and we must draw on her own theory to accept what is not acceptable.
