To EAGT members:
Dear members,
You are invited to take part in EAGT International Online Symposium to be run within our project “Re-Connection to Life” in support to involuntary migrants to Europe among gestalt practitioners. The idea of the Symposium is to explore the most challenging issues for professional gestalt community in regards to our colleagues who had to leave their practices and homes due to the war and persecution. The title for the 1st Symposium is “How to find my people during exile in war time?”
Life in exile is quite a challenging task: you have to re-start your practice in a new environment, to learn new rules of living and working there, culture, language, make new connections… The list of urgent tasks is quite long but the most challenging in the war time is building trust among people. Who are those around me? Who are trustworthy and who are not? How to find my people – these are the most difficult issues for those coming from the field of oppression, persecution and missiles. Many basic humanistic concepts are experienced differently in the war time.
We invite you to join our colleagues in these quite difficult explorations when the war is still going on, clarity is not possible, the field is full of splits and ruptures as survival modes… We invite you to togetherness with unknown outcomes. But whatever outcomes emerge we plan to share it within EAGT family to keep going on the track towards awareness, to be frank with each other.
The participation is free. All gestalt people around the world are welcomed. We plan to run communication in 4 languages: English, Ukrainian, Spanish and Russian.
