In the case of a conflict mediation is first offered by EAGT\u2019s Complaints Committee. In the case of a formal complaint [this committee is responsible for a good and reliable settling of affairs].\n\nIn EAGT we do a lot of work reflecting on our procedures, discussing how to deal with our roles, and evaluating our work. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a5979fc elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a5979fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Our Aims<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d749738 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d749738\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>EAGT\u2019s Code of Ethics is designed to protect and safeguard the interests of both parties to the client-therapist relationship. This is not an equal relationship but one characterised by special responsibilities, skills and obligations expected from the therapist. This also applies to personal therapy and supervision of therapy trainees.<br \/><br \/>We review and support the evolution of the EAGT Ethical Code to ensure it remains current. Every 5 years EAGT members can make proposals to revise the code.<\/p><p>We support our colleagues in the European NOGTs, professional organisations and training institutes to design and develop national ethical codes. This means corresponding with members and lending our support around important issues such as developing Appeals and Arbitration procedures that fit with the national
